Another roadblock with Meme Mine, any promotional content, i.e website, can’t reference any copyrighted material, such as a still from a Disney movie. Not because the screen capture is the problem, but because it implies people could use Disney I.P. to create infringing works with my tool.
I think we can stay above board with classic or unlicensed films, but I’ll need to update my website. It’s not like the tool has any cracking software in it currently.
But man, reading about DRM and DCMA, and honestly, it all kinda sucks. The Internet is in such a chokehold now.
